Come in costume for a self-guided backstage tour with trick-or-treat stations, plus a meet-and-greet with the Grinch from 11:30 to 12:30. Free; RSVP online.
Stroll an outdoor story walk of Halloween Scare in CT during regular library hours, Oct. 26–30. Recommended for ages 4 and up; costumes welcome, but no spooky masks.
Build a haunted graham-cracker house with chocolate frosting and creepy candy, then explore the transformed Story Time Room on a Halloween scavenger hunt. All ages; register once per family.
Kids 5–8 make a miniature foam pumpkin home for a new troll doll friend. Registration required.
Visit the library’s spooky Halloween museum for games, crafts and treats. Ages 5–10; costumes encouraged; registration required.
WHLL’s first Trunk or Treat at Morse Park. Admission is free with a canned or non-perishable food donation for WHEAT of West Haven.
Little ones up to age 4 enjoy storytime, a costume parade through the library and mini-pumpkin decorating. Drop-ins welcome.
